A spoonfull of sugar really does work!

More like several cups of sugar, but that doesn't work with the Mary Poppins tune nearly as well. :) I've been exploring different ways for Josh to practice his letters that are fun and won't make him hate me for hours afterward. Today we hit upon the idea of putting sugar into a baking dish and drawing/writing in there using fingers, pencil tips, cars, etc. It was *fun*! Drew even joined the party for a while. It was a mess to clean up (and is still stuck to places) but the fun was worth it. Here are some pics of the fun (and yes, the lens is dirty in the corner, sorry!):

Other creativity today was artwork from Veggie Tales:

What fun! Sure wish I had a "think out the box" teacher when I was young. You make learning fun, which is the point after all! Know I've told you before but its worth repeating, I am so proud of you as a mother and a teacher. You go girl!!
Hugs,
Mom
